Traditional mountain caramel

Making Treak is a process that requires time and patience. It takes about a day from when the berries are put on to boil until the product is fully packaged. Our Treak is handmade and contains only natural ingredients:

The juniper caramel “Troll” is the relaunch of the traditional candy “Treak.” Many people, especially tourists, associate Norway with trolls. These creatures have also given their name to one of the main areas where Treak was made, namely Jotunheimen. For everyone who loves trolls, or who doesn’t know what Treak is: here is the juniper caramel “Troll”!

All treak is handmade using only natural ingredients. The slightly distinctive taste of juniper berries is highly appreciated by many. Did you know that the winner of “Bakemesterskapet 2025,” Catrine Dokken Belsheim, uses treak in her macarons? Be sure to try them when visiting the bakery in Aurdal.
